Reporting Injuries and Emergencies
Information for Students, Practice Assessors / Practice Supervisors
If a student is injured whilst on placement, the practice assessor / practice supervisor should ensure that the Trust or organisation policy for dealing with injuries is followed.
Students must follow the placement organisations policy for their immediate course of action but should inform the University occupational health department the next working day/soon as possible after the incident to arrange appropriate follow up.
A copy of the completed accident form must be forwarded to the student’s University as follows:
