Do you have a Practice Assessor?

You will normally be told who your practice assessor / practice supervisor will be when you contact the placement area prior to your placement, and you should have a preliminary interview during your first week of placement.

What to do if you have not been allocated a Practice Assessor / Practice Supervisor for your placement:

If you have not been allocated a practice assessor / practice supervisor during your first week of placement, then please speak to an appropriate member of the team (ward sister/charge nurse/student co-ordinator). If you still do not feel that the matter has been resolved, then please contact the Practice Learning Facilitator for the practice area. You can find out who the Practice Learning Facilitator is from the placement area or through the Practice Placement Unit  by emailing [email protected].
