Please refer to InPlace for details of your placement allocations. If you are unable to view your placement details online, please contact nursingplacements@leedsbeckett.ac.uk  or telephone 0113 8128985.

We endeavour to do the best we can for students and we ask that students work with us to achieve this by taking note of the following:

  • Keep your student support office informed if you change your address and/or telephone number. This allows PPU to place you in areas as close as possible to your home and contact you if we need to pass on information regarding your placement.
  • Students who wish to change their placement need to contact their programme leader before PPU can make any changes.
  • Due to working with a large number of placement organisations, unfortunately placements can be changed at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances, but we will allocate you another suitable placement.

Before Your Placement

Contacting Your Placement
Please be aware that all students must contact their placement area at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the placement. It is important that students make contact so that arrangements can be made for both the student and placement area well in advance.

Looking at Your Placement Profile
You are advised to view the placement profile for your upcoming placement from Online PARE.  The profile provides lots of information about the placement area, how to get there, what population it serves etc.  The information helps students prepare for the placement experience and the environment they will be practicing in.

Student Working Hours
University of Leeds students should refer to the guidelines regarding student working hours.
